When should I register for a German WEEE registration?

Short answer: before you sell. If you’re planning to sell electronics — from laptops to phone cables — in Germany, you need a valid WEEE number. Especially if you use Amazon FBA: they’ll block your listings without proof of compliance.

Even if you sell through your own shop or other platforms, the German authorities require proper WEEE registration upfront.
